COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION:

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a specialized agency in control of the furtherance of sustainable and internationally accessible tourism, acting as an international forum for tourism policy administration and tourism knowledge.

Since its foundation in 1975, UNWTO has worked to foster sustainable tourism policies, mainstream tourism in global agenda, as well as encourage effective tourism education and training throughout the globe. To date, UNWTO is comprised of a General Assembly with 158 Full Members and six Associate Members, an Executive Council and other Specialized Committees of UNWTO Members.
