Topic: The Second Mafia War
Committee Introduction
Throughout history, there has been a multitude of bloody conflicts. Whether it is religious conflicts, territorial conflicts, or everything in between, it is well-known that all of these factors play a big role in wars and more specifically Mafia wars. As a result of the unresolved power imbalance in the First Mafia War, the domino effect resulted in the Second Mafia War to start.
The Second Mafia War occurred in 1981 due to the dominance of the Corlonesi family, led by Salvatore Riina. Understanding that other Mafia families may be targeting them, the Corlonesi family went on a killing streak to eliminate any potential threats, eventually reigning supreme after 3 years of altercations.
As such, delegates of the committee need to understand their objectives, follow their stance closely, and work with their family to give themselves more advantage in this war. When the night comes, the only ones that shine are the ones that eclipse their limits. Good luck to all delegates, and the Commissione looks forward to you.
